About me

Hi, I am Cristina.

I am a photographer born and raised in Cancun, with a Canadian mother and Mexican father. I am thankful for having two beautiful countries to call home, but at heart, I am definitely a Caribbean girl. My mixed background has made me appreciate the best of both worlds and it has given me experiences that have helped me through my journey. I have always loved learning, I am curious, dedicated, loyal, and I love to be inspired and surrounded by beauty. I studied Business Tourism, but my desire to travel and get out of the box took me to beautiful places where I discovered photography and felt excited by it. You could say that curiosity and travel made me a photographer. I fell in love with it!

Some of my favorite things are going to the beach and being surrounded by nature, a good podcast or book, having flowers in the house, working out, going to concerts, spending time with family and friends, and visiting new places. I am an introvert and enjoy time with myself, but I also love meeting people.

My photography

A mix of editorial and candid style images. I am mad about color, but I also like the timeless feel of black and white. I love documenting spontaneous moments filled with emotion and life, the ones that show how you love each other and your interactions with others. I also love the editorial style shoots, allowing me to be more creative, and to tell your story from another perspective that is also true to you and to the look and feel of your wedding.

I pay close attention to detail, not only while I am shooting but also during the editing process.

My journey as a photographer

I started taking pictures professionaly 10 years ago. Previously, I worked in the hotel business which gave me many tools that have helped me through my journey as a photographer. For me, being a good photographer is not only about taking pretty pictures, it is also being able to communicate effectively with my clients, paying close attention to detail, staying organized, planning ahead and making the whole experience enjoyable and comfortable for my clients.
